The Autonomous Sensing Lab

One of only four operational WWII ships in the US, the American Victory Ship in downtown Tampa, Florida, is a significant part of history. It’s also part of our future. It’s where we test out AI-powered autonomous systems in a real urban maritime environment. Our Autonomous Sensing Lab generates real-world test data to inform how military personnel interpret information from autonomous platforms.

Summary

Our Lab’s primary purpose is to integrate data from multiple autonomous systems and sensing platforms, critical to shaping the most effective human-machine interactions.

Our IBIS™ platform is onboard, and we collaborate with our customers to combine data from diverse sources and more holistically understand the operational environment.

Projects at the Lab include building out autonomous underwater vehicles and integrating data from low-powered sensors. All of the data produced can be queried in plain English thanks to IBIS™.
